To the OCD mom!
http://www.janeleni.com/
I am not yet a mom but am a little OCD. And since a good amount of my friends have already embraced motherhood I am aware that the two do not go hand in hand. So when I ran across Jane Eleni’s artwork I knew I had to put it out into the world for all of the mom’s who are dying to have a clean, organized display of their child’s art collection.
I...

This is another day to pursue your dreams, let the past be exactly that and set priorities that will restore your soul! Here are the little moments from last week/weekend that make me look forward to what will pop up this week!
One of the best concerts I have seen to date….Foster the People! It probably helps that I got to see it with some the greatest friends I have.
Dying...

Rachel Zoe
It is and understatement to say that I think this girl is bad to the bone! If you have not experienced Rachel, whether it be through her book Style: A to Zoe or watched The Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo TV, you should know she is an insanely passionate and talented stylist turned designer. Her TV series really allows you to see what a fashion designer goes through to fine tune their craft and have...

Inspiration room found here. Unfortunately, I could not trace the room back to the original designer. The most difficult part of breaking out of the standard pink and blue baby room is finding a color palette that works as well as the pieces, fabric and accents that fit in to a unique color scheme. I hope this Rooms to Reality gives you a few more online shopping options that help to achieve...

Oh the wonders of toilet paper rolls. A friend showed me a version of toilet paper roll art that she discovered in an anthropology magazine. So when I needed a quick, free fix for my office I ripped off the idea and made it my own. It has potential to get bigger but we will just wait and see. And NO these are not all my toilet paper rolls……multiple donations!

In the rat race of life it is easy to look up at the end of a week and realize there were few moments of intentional pursuit of dreams, joy, or moments of peaceful stillness. I liken it to a long repetitive car drive when you reach your destination and can’t remember the drive. Monday mornings are a good time for me to remember moments from the previous week/weekend that blessed me. Here...

Incredible inspiration room designed by Kay Douglass. Below are a few product ideas of how you can achieve this look!
1. Find Kelly Green Curtains at Overstock. I am in love with this green!
2. Get this gorgeous chandelier from Shades of Light.
3. Great (cheaper) chandelier option from Lamps Plus.
4. Dining Table from Restoration Hardware.
5. Dining chairs from Overstock.
6. Wall art...

I have seen this idea before but I needed a much larger and cheaper version for the redpepper office. So with some collective brainstorming and 35 bucks we made this:
DIY
1. Purchase molding of choice and chicken wire from Hope Depot or Lowe’s.
2. I had a friend cut the edges at home depot because there is no way I could do an angular cut.
3. We used gorilla glue and a staple gun...

Rooms to Reality : 3
I found this inspiration post on one of my favorite blogs, Apartment Therapy. This is an extremely eclectic look with a great neutral palette. The pop of red and pattern in the pillows really give this room exactly what it needs. I left out a few details in this shot because there is a ton of detail in a very small area. But a tray filled with covered book on the bench would be a nice,...
the art of remix
There is nothing I love more than being introduced to new ideas and forms of art. I crave someone sending me a new band they discovered, going through interior design blogs and magazines to see their creativity, and seeing pictures of the most current fashion week. With that said, when I am truly inspired by something I feel a little guilt when I want to recreate and put my own personal spin on...

Rooms to Reality : 2
I found this room on Pinterest. Sadly, I could not link back to the designer. Below you will find the pieces that I believe make this room possible for anyone’s home. I have decided to make this “Rooms to Reality” concept a weekly to bi-weekly sharing. So check back next week (hopefully) to see what room I pick! FYI..I picked 2 lighting options because #7 is much more cost...
